Pathways of Snowdon   VHS & DVD

Snowdon or Yr Wyddfa as the mountain is known in Welsh is the country's highest mountain. Situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, Snowdon attracts more than a million visitors each year. Some arrive by way of The Snowdon Mountain Railway, but the vast majority choose to walk up one of the main footpaths that converge on the summit cairn.
The area is a magnet for walkers, ramblers and mountaineers and standing at a height of 1,085 metres above sea level, the mountain provides spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
Snowdon offers walkers a chance to explore the ruined mine workings that litter her slopes and to study the industrial archaeology of the area.
From a safety point of view, it should be remembered that weather conditions on the mountain can change very quickly and it is essential that visitors are properly equipped. Sturdy footwear should be worn at all times and warm, waterproof clothing should be carried.

Canal du Midi  Cruising Guide   VHS & DVD
